Portishead - Wandering Star

Personally speaking - no other album in the history of music could possibly be so nostalgic as Portishead's Dummy. I spent HOURS upon HOURS smoking weed in high school listening to this album on repeat - just hearing those crisp drums brings me back to late nights at the Krispy Kreme donuts inhaling little pillowy morsels of heaven-- brb going to Krispy Kreme.

You know when you have 29 things to do and you can't figure out what to do first and your mind is reeling and just repeating the list over and over and over and over and you do a little bit of one and a little bit of another and then you feel like your brain is about to explode. No.. Me neither.
Guns - Ricochet

If you want to ensure no one can ever find your band via Google name them Guns during a period of American history where gun violence and mass shootings are at an all time high. What could possibly go wrong? ...Some day we'll collectively realize as a species that were all in this together and if we don't work together on getting off this dying rock all of our traversing through triumph and struggle will be meaningless. Billions of years of evolution couldn't have intentionally lead us here, at what point do we become an advanced civilization?

Sultry french vocals on this one - we like it. In other news: I am officially 10 pounds heavier than I was before Thanksgiving. I need to go on one of those Dr. Oz miracle diets where all you do is eat the rotten stems of mango trees grown on top Native American burial grounds at an elevation no higher than 200 feet above sea level. -- Or you know... eat fucking healthy and exercise - whichever.
